And those I had heard from podcasts had additional anecdotal stories about Mike or related stories that made them as interesting as if they were first reads. Well done, Mike. Mike does tells stories about his life and the lives of many historic amazing people in this book. He joins his podcast stories with stories taken from his life and the effects these people have had on him. He gives up alot of his inner workings and his secret life in this book. You will not be able to put it down once you start reading it. I laughed, I cried and I was transfixed. You will love this book even if you dont know who Mike is.... you will love him and feel like you know him when you are finished reading it. My favorite story was how he got in trouble as a teenager and almost list it all. It shows his heart and who he really is at his core.... a great big white knight. Thanks Mike for giving us such a great stories. I am looking forward to Volume 2 of The Way I Heard It. So start writing... ( Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2019 )

Almost everyone knows Mike from Dirty jobs,his Mikeroweworks foundation to train labor jobs,as well as "Returning the Favor"and his "The Way I heard it" podcasts. The world has been gifted two books this past year: Mike's book,and his Mother's. They both come across with such genuine story telling, humor, and the good and bad moments of this journey. The best book I have read in years, if you loved Paul Harvey this book will bring back all the memories.
